Part V: Finding Financial Support for Public Policy Development

Getting heard requires resources, and most voluntary organizations have difficulty finding sufficient funding to provide their services, let alone become involved in public policy. So where can one go to find financial support for public policy research and activity? The following Canadian foundations have made donations to organizations pursuing a public policy and/or social policy agenda in the recent past. As with institutes and think-tanks, some foundations come with an ideological perspective and are more interested in funding efforts that align with that perspective.
